Thanks for your flexibility in time change and field change for the game vs Madison. To reiterate what I sent in email, see the clarification on the Red Card during Sunday's game.
The rules state that any player ‘handling’ the ball to
block a goal are automatically issued a Red Card and are also fined (as noted
below).
The league takes these matters seriously and while some
referees will provide some latitude in calls on the field, a handball in the
box to deny a goal is a flagrant foul.
During Halftime, the Ref did explain further to the kids,
but wanted to be sure you had some info. The result:
-$75-100 fine and penalty points assessed to player &
team
-one game suspension
-automatic removal from the game
